AbstractA Pd(OAc)(2)-catalyzed cyclization of N-(2-formylaryl)alkynamides initiated by the oxypalladation of alkynes was developed. The method provides a new approach for the efficient and atom-economical synthesis of 2-quinolinone derivatives.
