AbstractThe palladium-catalyzed direct alpha-arylation of both open-chain and cyclic alpha-fluoroketones by using P(o-tolyl)(3) or RuPhos as ligand and K3PO4 center dot 3H(2)O as mild base has been developed. This method allows a variety of quaternary alpha-aryl-alpha-fluoroketones to be easily prepared. (C) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
