AbstractA novel perfluorooctyl-containing quaternary ammonium salt was designed and synthesized, which was applied as a surface modification agent to provide the treated cotton fabrics with antimicrobial activity and low critical surface energy. (C) 2003 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
